A study idealized by Instituto Escolhas and carried out by researchers Marcela Alonso Ferreira, Vitória Oliveira Pereira de Souza Leão, Leandro Cizotto and Carolina Passos, includes data on consumption, distribution and commercialization of food in the metropolitan region of São Paulo. The analysis shows that, with some measures, it is possible to supply this entire population with vegetables and vegetables produced locally, identifies obstacles and provides recommendations on what can be done to advance in this potential for local production and supply. The study is carried out in partnership with Urbem and is supported by Porticus.
