Eduardo Simões worked as photographer for the F4 agency, was adjunct photography editor of the weekly IstoÉ, and photography editor of the magazines Goodyear, República, and Bravo. He is the author of Amazonia published in 2012. As photographer, he participated in the series Brazilian Literature Notebooks of the Moreira Salles Institute. He received the awards Vladimir Herzog Human Rights, Marc Ferrez, JP Morgan, Abril, ABERJE, and also the Vitae Scholarship. His photographs are part of the collections of the museums MASP, MIS, MAM-SP, Pinacoteca-SP, MAB-FAAP, Figueiredo Ferraz Institute, Mexican Photography Council (Mexico, Federal District), and the Maison Européenne de la Photographie (Paris).
